Thursday is almost Friday!

So, my deep thought of the day was that since today is Thursday that means tomorrow is Friday. Neat, huh?

As an addendum to yesterday's post, because I was asked by a couple of people, the best way to treat a spider bite is to clean it with soap and water; I then use hydrogen peroxide (part of me loves that cleansing sting!) and then slather on some antihistamine cream. Spider bites tend to get infected because they are not cleaned properly and then people scratch them because those suckers itch! And you're welcome.

And in other random news. Today, as I was driving to the gym, I wasn't more than .10 of a mile from my house when I noticed two lovely, older (70+) women standing in the road in front of me. And not on the side of the road, no. They were standing in the exact middle of it, having what appeared to be a wonderful chat.

This is not them, but around the right age. I just thought this post needed a photo.

So, I slowed my car down and waited as they slowly (oh, so slowly) moved out of the way. But not together. No. It was like the parting of the Red Sea. And when I looked back in my rearview after I waved to both ladies (yes, I was polite), I watched as they closed in on the middle of the road again. And at the gym, I was actually checking the TV for news of a tragic car accident involving two older women. Do you think people get to a certain age and just don't care? I think when I turn 90 I am going to walk across I-85, because you know what? At that point in life I will ALWAYS have the right of way.

Ha ha, that is too funny about the old ladies. I had a run-in (quite literally!) with two older women yesterday. I was running on the sidewalk and the two older women (late 50's) were walking towards me taking up the whole sidewalk. As I neared them it was clear that they weren't going to move and I had to quickly jump off the sidewalk so as not to run into them! Kind of strange that they didn't even act like I was there!

I don't hate old people, but let's just say I'm not always a fan. Many of them do seem to have the attitude that they've lived so long the world owes them something. But then again, those two old ladies have been paying the taxes that bought that road you were driving on for at least 50 years, so I guess if they want to chat in the middle of it, they've earned the right :)

For me, Thursday IS Friday. We don't print on Saturdays, so Sunday is Monday and Thursday is Friday. Beat that!

Those are some cute little old ladies, even if they aren't the actual ones. It was nice of you to wave to them.
