Creating my "30 Before 30" list was more difficult than I imagined. While I was thinking of items to put on the list, I would feel these sudden urges to write down ridiculous goals, like "Learn how to surf" or "Climb to the top of Mount Kilimanjaro." But then I realized something. I don't want to learn how to surf, and I really don't want to climb to the top of the highest mountain in Africa.
I do have big goals in life, and I do want to accomplish significant things before I turn 30, but I want this to be a FUN list with a good mixture of easy and difficult things that are possible for me to finish.
Also, whether I complete the list or not, thanks for coming along for the ride.
- Finish Jillian Michaels' 30 Day Shred (because we saw how well my attempt at Slim in 6 turned out)
- Take a weekend trip
- Try a new restaurant
- Make homemade ice cream
- Have a girls night
- Throw a party
- Go hiking
- Print wedding photos (now putting them somewhere is a different story)
- Redecorate one room in my home
- Run a race
- Read five New York Times Best Sellers and review them here
Bake a cake from scratch- Document a "day in my life" with photos
- Spend time exploring a city in Georgia
- Visit an Atlanta attraction
- Try Pinkberry (they finally made it to Atlanta)
- Write a short story
- Decorate my work office
- Plan and implement an entire date day
- Volunteer for a worthy cause (besides English School, where I have volunteer taught English to foreign adults for nearly three years)
- Go on a picnic
- Spend a whole (non-sick) day lounging around the house with movies, books, etc.
- Do 100 consecutive push-ups
- Create a scrapbook
- Go dancing
- Visit a museum
- Create an A-Z album (idea borrowed from Janet)
- Make cupcakes
- Create a new cocktail
- Visit a foreign country

I can help with n°12 (cake baking) and n°30 (Senegal!!). It'll be tight, but we can squeeze in y'all's visit before your birthday ;)
PS - n°15, we hope to do a lot of. III has only seen Atlanta from 285.
Love the list. Ijust saw a pinkberry in NYC and wondered if we had one down here! All these new yogurt places are popping up everywhere!
I vote that you, Kari and I complete #5 (girls night).
And on a side note, I would love to do #8 with you... ours are still on CDs!!
So glad you are blogging again!
Well, we could take care of a few with a trip to St. George (Barb, you and I). You could prepare for the trip by accomplishing #1. Do #3, #4, #5, #13, #28 and #29 all while we are there! Imagine the fun!! :)
But of course, I am always willing to help with #24.
Love, Steph
I got a Pinkberry gift card for my birthday, so you are going with me.
Also, let's make cupcakes. And go on a picnic. And create a new cocktail. Basically, let's do all the food-related stuff together, preferably while satisfying #22.
