This could just be a case of road rage on my part, but I have a very strong pet peeve that involves slow drivers. Namely, slow drivers who are pulling up to a red light at such a snail pace that you are unable to get into the turn lane that is just left of them. And you miss the turn light because they refuse, REFUSE!, to move their car forward six inches.
What is your biggest driving pet peeve?

Yikes. I understand, I really do, but nevertheless I am actually training myself to approach red lights more slowly than ever. It's about gas mileage. Accelerating toward a red light wastes gas, and if I take long enough to get to a red light it might even be green by the time I get there. I realize not everyone can appreciate this strategy.
In fact, the guy who slowed you down was probably just a dick head.
My biggest pet peeve are gappers! The people that see the light turn green and the person in front of them turns but they take so long that you miss the light (hence a huge gap between the gapper and the person in front of them). It is especially annoying at the lights you know are short...if anyone went to UGA and you were turning on Lexington from the 10 loop you know what I am talking about.

My peeve is women who are afraid to take a chance on happiness. Can you guess who this anonymous comment came from :-)
I hate people who swerve back and forth in their lane and get pulled over. You remember that? Legendary story. But seriously, slow drivers suck (DO THE SPEED LIMIT) and people who just pull out in front of you and don't bother to accelerate at a decent pace thus causing me to hit my brakes.
After moving here from NJ, driving in Atlanta is heaven... :-) I have heard other people make Chris' point about gas mileage, although I rarely think in those terms when I am driving (but I think it's a good point). But I do slow down at lights because I feel like there's no point in hurrying up just to get to a red light and because if you stop quicker at a red light the person tailgating you (as they often are- it is one of my few pet peeves about ATL drivers) is likely to hit you. I am obviously not referring to the person who's turning left, but you also don't always know they are turning left (unless they turn on their blinkers). Ok... I am babbling now...
I can have a top ten list for this category. My number one is ppl in the far left lane, not the HOV, but far left... talking on the cell phone doing 50 MPH or less. What are you doing?!!!!
I hate when people tailgate me! And seeing as how I have a lead foot, I'm definitely not going too slow!
I also hate when people ride my bumper, but my biggest pet peeve on the road is the lack of turn signal use. That's what they are there for, people!
driving in general brings out an uncontrollable wave of anger in me. LOL
my favorite is when people tail me, then pass me, only to pull back in front of me and turn left. love it!
